A single JAR file now provides device profiles for all the different WattNode models (BACnet, ModBus, and LonWorks) for use with Niagara 4. The device profiles contain all the points (registers) that each model offers. Note, for BACnet and LonWorks devices, these points are available through the Discover process. However, if a device is not on the network, this file will provide the device profile, so the points will not have to be manually entered. The file contains the various models as devices. This allows including the device configuration information. This is helpful for the ModBus models as it shows required station settings, such as the byte order. Devices are accessed by adding the file to the Station’s Module Library. Also included in the JAR file are LonWorks lnml files. These files allow adding the device points using the Lon XML import tool to an existing device on the Station’s LonWorks Network.

Earlier JAR file versions for use on Tridium Niagara AX Version 3.2 and 3.4 can be downloaded to a JACE Station for use in the Palette as shown in Figure 1 below.
