Description

The WattNode® meter for LonWorks is a kilowatt-hour (kWh) energy and power (kW demand) meter that communicates on a LonWorks® network and measures 1, 2, or 3 phases with voltages from 120 to 600 Vac and currents from 5 to 6,000 amps in delta (line-to-line) and wye (line-to-neutral) configurations. For built-in data logging, see the WattNode Logger for LonWorks.

Data Logging Model –L

This model is only available on standard model WattNode for LonWorks. The data logging model is for special applications where the LonTalk network is not available or not reliable. Order the logging model by adding a –L to the end of the part number. For example: WNC-3Y-208-FT10-L.

The data logging model provides internal logging to non-volatile memory. Logging intervals can be selected from 1 minute to 12 hours. Memory allows logging of up to 250 days of 15-minute data. The logged values are:

  • Date and Time
  • Net Energy (A, B, C and Sum)
  • Reactive Energy (Sum)
  • Positive Energy (Sum)
  • Real and Reactive Power (A, B, C and Sum)
  • Voltage, Current and Power Factor (A, B, C)

Option B – Emulates the legacy WNB-xx-xxx-FT10 series of WattNode meters
See WattNode for LonWorks – Option B for downloads.

Option PT – Allows monitoring higher voltage services.
See WattNode LonWorks – Option PT for downloads.

WattNode® for LonWorks® – Options

Option CT

This option configures the network variable nciCtAmps to the specified CT rated current. The format is: Option CT=xxxx where xxxx is the rated current of the CT. See the WattNode for LonWorks – Option CT page for details. The nciCtAmp variablecan be field configured or overridden by the user.

Option PT

This option is available only with the standard WattNode Plus and WattNode Logger models.

Option PT provides support for potential transformers (PTs), making it easier to use the WattNode for LonWorks meters with medium voltage services. Specifically, Option PT adds a configuration property UCPTptRatio which configures the ratio of the external PT, allowing the meter to automatically scale the voltage, power, and energy readings. See WattNode LonWorks – Option PT for more information.

Option B

This option is available only with the standard WattNode for LonWorks meter.
If you need a WattNode meter that behaves like the old WNB series models (model numbers WNB-xx-xxx-FT10), then order a

WNC-xx-xxx-FT10 Opt B

The Option B WattNode models are very similar to the original WNB series WattNode Plus models, but with a few changes:

  • New program ID: 8:00022:1500:0A04:05. Because there are some hardware changes, LonMaker® requires a new program ID.
  • Energy and time of day are stored to non-volatile memory every 5 seconds. The old version stored these every 20 seconds.
  • The energy log has been removed (see our WattNode Logger for LonWorks if you need logging). The nviLogRequest and nvoLogData variables still exist, but do nothing.
  • The network variable list is identical to the original WNB series WattNode Plus
  • Firmware Version 3.03
